Some of our courses may be available to children under the age of 13. This section describes how we collect, use, and share children’s Personal Information. It also describes parent’s rights and choices with respect to their children’s Personal Information, and how they can reach us to get answers to questions.
How We Collect and Use Children’s Information
We collect information about children directly from the child when they:
• Interact with our Platform
• Enroll in a course
• Communicate through our platform and forums
• Contact us through the Platform
To create an account for a child, we require the child’s name, birthday, and parent’s email address. Parents may also choose to provide their phone number and physical address. Where we recognize that the potential student is under the age of 13, we will require the student to participate in courses through their parent’s profile.
While interacting with the Platform, children may also provide us with other information, such as communication information, audio and video information (such as when a course is being live streamed or recorded), interests, and awards. We use this information to build a student account, provide the child with information and access to courses, improve the child’s Platform experience, or reply to the child’s questions.
If the child interacts with one of the Platform’s forums, we will collect any additional information the child provides to us. Information provided through user forums may be publicly available. We strongly encourage children who use our forum features to never provide Personal Information about themselves. We also recommend that parents carefully supervise their children when the children participate in online activities.
When children interact with our Platform, the following information may be automatically collected: domain name; browser type and operating system; pages viewed; links clicked; the length of time spent on the Platform; the length of time our courses were taken; Google Analytics statistics; language information; device name and model; operating system type, name, and version; and activities within our Platform. We may also collect IP address, device identifier or a similar unique identifier from users of the Platform. We only use such identifiers to support the internal operations of the Platform and we do not use such identifiers to collect information about the child outside of the Platform.

We may share children’s Personal Information in the following situations:
• Service Providers. We may share children’s information with service providers. Among other things service providers may help us to administer the Platform and provide technical support. Our service providers include:

• Other Disclosures without Consent. We may disclose children’s information in response to subpoenas, warrants, or court orders, or in connection with any legal process, or to comply with relevant laws. We may also share your information in order to establish or exercise our rights, to defend against a legal claim, to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding possible illegal activities, suspected fraud, safety of person or property, or a violation of our policies, or to comply with your request for the provision of services by a third-party intermediary.
• Acquisitions. If another company acquires, or plans to acquire, our company, business, or our assets, we will also share children’s information with that company, including at the negotiation stage.
Parental Choices and Control
